Adam Levine and his baby

Yep.

It’s official.

Adam Levine didn’t wait very long to share his “bare chested daddy pose with newborn baby” photo.

I mentioned a week ago that this would be the theme.  And I was 100% right.

Because, Adam certainly has waited long enough to be the center of attention again.

But I can’t blame him.

He suffers from a well know phenomena called “New baby….MY baby…itis.”

All celebrity men do this.  It’s what makes them feel a part of the whole birthing process.

Ok Behati.  You can go back to working out again.  Hurry up now.

The Urgency in the word… Jump!

Jump

Jump is one of those urgent words.

A few phrases come into mind:

Jump for joy!…Jump around!..Jump into your life!

Emphatically… jump means to do it right now.

From the obvious action of jumping, like off a cliff or jumping on a trampoline, it’s one of those command words that urges one to do the action immediately.

A person who is told to Jump! doesn’t have time to sit and reflect.

They just have to do it!

The Stylish 1980s

Stylish

I cringe looking at 80s fashions.

Can anyone be considered stylish if they grew up in the 1980s?

Fashion certainly took a break and all rules were broken.

I blame it on MTV music videos.

Madonna and Michael Jackson started some trends.

George Michael,  too.  Fashion was everywhere in music videos.  How else would people know to match up a neon shirt with rolled up jeans? Or wear suspenders with Doc Martens? Lots of fashion choices were abundant in the 1980s.

Suspenders, capezio shoes, broaches, long denim skirts, mini skirts, oversized shoulder pad shirts, cut up t-shirts, denim jackets, the list can go on and on.

Even though fashion was out there and not as stylish as the 1940s fashion, hairstyles were inventive.

Today, not many people can pull of wearing a permed and over hair sprayed hairstyle.

Eco- conscious, plant based people would freak out with all the chemicals in hairspray!

But, one thing that was stylish in the 1980s was an asymmetrical haircut.  Of course it  was a normal to wear hair in geometric styles.  It was the 80s.

Also popular was the dreaded mullet.

But….a mullet will NEVER be stylish.

The Silence of a Snowfall

Silence

The best time to hear complete silence is after a big snowfall.

This is when silence is at it’s peak.

The air is cool, the snowflakes are quietly falling into their piles. No one is outside.

Animals are tucked into their earth homes or hanging out in some protective evergreen trees.

Occasionally, one might hear some car tires crunching over the freshly plowed snow.

But most of the time it is quiet and peaceful.

Soon, the snowfall ends and the silence becomes normal again with snow plows, shovels scratching against concrete, and children playing loudly with their snow games.

The Fragile Ego of a Narcissist

Fragile

Narcissists have fragile egos that destroy others.

Take for example Elon Musk.

His first ex-wife Justine wrote about her fairytale love affair with Elon back in 2010.    http://www.marieclaire.com/sex-love/advice/a5380/millionaire-starter-wife/

Their story was a typical fairytale. She fell for his ability to pay for lots of books, then married him, and soon had lots of children.

But they also had a tragedy.  Their son passed away from SIDS at 10 weeks old.

It was during this time that Justine said Elon became cold and unloving.

Maybe Justine thought it was his fragile ego dealing with the death of their son? But,  in reality it was his narcissism.

Narcissist’s don’t have empathy.  They surround themselves with trophy wives and think they are more special than anyone else in the world.  The rules only apply to them.

Narcissist’s spend a large amount of attention in the beginning of a relationship but soon show their true narcissist qualities and disappear. When things got mundane or as Justine said when “she wasn’t blonde enough for him” ..the narcissist finds another partner.

They aren’t fragile at all.

Sadly, Justine never had a chance.

Because surviving a narcissistic relationship is impossible.  Especially with Elon Musk.

The fairytale eventually ended.

Does a Job Exit require a Press Release?

Does a job exit require a press release nowadays?

When a person quits a job why does it have to be the most dramatic exit ever?

Hey…I’m going to put out a press release and say how important I am and how indispensable I am to the world.

A lot of famous people do this and people in the finance, entertainment and tech world. There are many examples out in the world. No. Not at the local level like leaving a job at a supermarket. But, famous people do it all the time. Look at the guy who left Hamilton? I am sure there is a press release out there somewhere extolling his contribution to the world and life itself.

Dear World,

I am a very important person. But I have decided in the best interest for myself and my loved ones that I am quitting a job to relax and spend my days freely.

Eh..I hope this doesn’t come across as bragging and boastful. But, I am ok with that. I have made my way. I want to retire early and enjoy my fruits of labor. Also, I was getting a little bored and just wanted to regroup and seek out new employment. It will happen soon. I promise.

In the meantime, I am leaving you with a press release to magnify my accomplishments and so you can understand my struggle.

You see. My life is very important. I am a very important person with important things to do and work is just getting in my way.

So, please accept my job press release as who I am.  I mean…it’s my life. OK?

Signed,

A person who has a press release to leave a job.

Oh. Ok.

Behati Prinsloo aka Mrs. Adam Levine

EXCLUSIVE: Adam Levine & Pregnant Behati Prinsloo and Ryan Seacrest at Nobu in Malibu

Behati Prinsloo is looking fantastic during her seemingly long pregnancy.

It must be hard for her to keep looking so Victoria Secret-y…but she’s rocking that top bun like it’s no ones business.

I love how Adam and Behati are color coordinating their looks together.

He has a brown and black palm leaf motif on his pants.

She has a black and brown leopard print on her bag.

It looks good together!

But…I am sure Adam demanded the “couple color coordination”..because he’s Adam Levine the rockstar.

Anyways.  It’s good to see Behati out and about.

We’ve been without any good famous preggo sightings lately.

Behati….I am sorry I have been neglecting blogging about your pregnancy.  You deserve the same attention.

I was kind of tired writing about famous preggos like Chrissy and Anne.  They were everywhere all the time rocking their bellies.

You have been somewhat absent.  So my interest has waned a little.

But, it looks like you are almost nearing the end soon… so I will try to fit in some time from now until then to notice your beautiful unicorn mama pregnancy.

Jason Mraz at The Stone Pony

Jason Mraz performed at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ a few days ago.

I was lucky enough to secure some tickets to go see him at this iconic venue.

First off… the Stone Pony is the place where Bruce Springsteen began his career.

When you think of the Stone Pony..you think of Bruce.

When I first got tickets to go see Jason Mraz  I was secretly hoping that maybe Bruce would show up and do a surprise set with Grammy award winner Mraz.

But, after noticing on his Bruce’s Instagram he was playing in Europe it wasn’t going to happen. But…if Bruce was in town I bet he would’ve stopped by.  He’s done it before.

Then I thought of Jon Bon Jovi, another local New Jerseyan.  He  would stop by for sure. He’s not doing much lately.  But no.  He was too busy as well.

I guess I was kind of naive to think that these mega stars would just drop by and sing a song or two.  But a girl can dream.

But…back to the concert.

I was super excited to hear Jason Mraz  play his solo acoustic show. It was just him, a stool, his guitar and nothing else. He was trying out some new material which did not disappoint.  His new songs were amazing.

His set mixed in old songs like “The Remedy”, “Beautiful Mess”, “93 million miles” along with some new catchy songs.

All his new material had the essence of Mraz from his early days.  I really loved an untitled song “If you think you’ve seen it all”.  It was perfect.

Even though it was an acoustic night all his new songs were musically mature.

The reason I am saying that is because all his new music left me humming the tunes well after the show ended.  All I  wanted to do was go out and listen to all those new songs on Spotify.

Sadly, we will have to wait for the release.

It is clear that this might be one of his best albums to come.

The vibe of the Stone Pony.

Even though the venue was small and intimate the tone of the evening was energetic.

I had been at the Stone Pony before and it is a dive bar.  Dark, cramped, full of annoying people.

Jason’s show was wall to wall… elbow to elbow.. packed full of concertgoers.

Jason came out at the beginning of his set and even quipped that he was a little worried about the fire hazard of having so many people in the venue. Ha! Luckily I was standing near some exits.

But even I knew the odds were against us if an emergency happened.  There were SO many people crammed in there.

The average age of Mraz concertgoers were about 35-40 year olds mixed with some 20 something millennials.

Some 35-40 year olds brought along their toddlers/children …of course…wearing cute Mraz fedoras.

The twenty something millennials spent most of the night snapchatting and going to the bathroom.

I had the lovely experience of being jammed up next to a group of 20 something sorority girls who were there only to hear Jason’s famous songs like “Lucky”, or “I’m Yours”, etc.

Sadly…those songs were usually at the end of the show so I knew it was going to be a long night.

The sorority girls did not disappoint in their impatience.

When I first arrived at the venue the line was out the door.  I knew my hopes of getting a front row spot were impossible.  After cramming myself through the already crowded venue I was able to position myself in front of the club’s sound board.  It was about 7 pm  and I was in the “last row.”

But others who must have known the show started at 8 pm came later and filled in behind me.  I  was no longer in the back row.  I was now about 4 rows in.

The four rows in didn’t make much of a difference since most of the large,  tall men with their dates were blocking any reasonable view of the stage.

Waiting in a crowded space for an hour might seem like fun…. but it’s challenging.

But maybe we should blame it on the venue.

The venue space was tight, hot and full of different age groups.

Of course the millennials would be a little more distracted with their snapchats and texting.

The older crowd goers wanted to savor every moment and reflect back on certain songs that Mraz pulled out of his career catalog.

One particular song he played “Too much Food” he flubbed the lyrics… but that’s what made the concert so special and real.  It was very humbling.

Also, he mentioned it was the second time he had played that song in 10 years.  But it sounded so fresh and current…it just fit in perfectly.

Imagine  Jason …on stage, strumming his guitar, the crowd happy, singing and learning some of the new songs with him,  too.  Mraz welcomed with open arms the crowd singing.  This was how the whole night was from start to finish.  A big sing fest.

It was a great party that was filled with happy vibes.

There were some quiet moments when he played his new stuff but the songs had catchy beats and lyrics that were very easy to enjoy.

As the night went on Jason played nonstop for two hours. He played hits like “I’m Yours” , “You and I”, “Lucky” , “3 things” , “The Woman I love” and some new songs “Chocolate”, “Making it up” , “Work in Progress”, “Got their own sh**” to  name a few.  He even fit in the Mr. Rogers neighborhood song.

It’s clear that his maturity as a musician has come to a grand peak.  Jason is an amazing entertainer and so gifted it was pretty exciting to be with him in such an intimate venue like the Stone Pony.

Certainly a once in a lifetime experience.

If you want to get a taste of the night I am sure there are some YouTube videos floating around somewhere.

A night of joyful singing and drunk sorority girls.

Princess Kate attended a family soiree

kate-william-435

Dearest Kate,

I see that you had some family business to take care of recently with your hubby.

I know it’s hard to keep impressing the Queen Mama.. but it was a celebration in her honor so you had no other choice.

But, it looks like you were doing fine.

Your dress was lovely.

Your hat was divine.

The small clutch matched your shoes perfectly.

So far..things were going really great at this event.

But, I am not sure what you can do with your tired looking eyes.

I blame that on being a mama.

Glad to see your doing well.

Signed,

A concerned friend.

Chrissy Teigen’s lost sparkle

I am going to go out on a limb and say that Chrissy Teigen has lost her eye sparkle.

Instead, she has a far away worried look in her eyes.

There’s a name for it.

It’s called the “my life is over now.. I have to worry 24/7 about being a mama now.”

All mother’s have it… unless they are heavily involved with nannies.

That means anything she does in the public eye ..like half naked selfies and wearing braless tops will eventually effect her daughter.

So…. half dressed Chrissy is now a sad mama who likes to dine out a lot at restaurants.

I think it’s sad.

Where’s my preggo fun Chrissy?
